Felix Krull is a seducer, a man-catcher, an illusionist - but also a cunning criminal, a thief, a swindler. Growing up as the son of a bankrupt manufacturer of miserable sparkling wine, he feels he is destined for greatness and lies his way into the upper echelons of society. Sometimes he cheats his way out of military service, sometimes he becomes a lift boy in a luxury hotel, sometimes he assumes the identity of a genuine aristocrat.

According to Thomas Mann, Felix Krull was even supposed to end up in prison, but the novel remained unfinished - a cold case and therefore a case for ... of course, a true crime podcast! In their show "Cold Case: Felix Krull", two podcast hosts go on the trail of this impostor and land their biggest coup: Felix Krull appears for an interview and confesses! But can such a man be trusted when he makes his confessions? And why are we so fascinated by true crime formats? And what do we actually do with stories that have no end?
