There is music that not only reaches the ears, but goes straight to the heart. Ensemble Grünthal is one of the rare formations that can do just that.

On September 27, the five musicians will bring the unmistakable sound of klezmer music to the Kultur Kantine Kelheim - full of joie de vivre, subtle melancholy and the power to connect people.

Klezmer is music with a history: once played at Jewish weddings, wild, boisterous, sometimes coarse - and always deeply human. Today it is experiencing a renaissance in Europe, and Grünthal brings this tradition to the stage with fresh breath: violin, clarinet, accordion, double bass and guitar merge to create a sound that is both familiar and new.

Whether in synagogues, churches, at city festivals or at private celebrations - the ensemble stands for encounters, openness and togetherness. They prefer to play without amplification, close to the audience, and turn every performance into a unique experience: There is clapping, singing, dancing - and laughter.
