This summer is all about Wes Craven. We are paying tribute to the legendary director and showing a wide selection of his films over the next few months.
On August 16, we will be showing "Shocker". Wes Craven wanted to create a kind of new Freddy Krueger with the film villain Horace Pinker and build up a new franchise. Unfortunately, that didn't work out. However, the character is played by none other than Mitch Pileggi, who most people probably know as Agent Skinner from The X-Files.

The psychopathic television technician Horace Pinker (Mitch Pileggi) is a mass murderer who is on the rampage in LA. He is not satisfied with individual victims - he is obsessed with wiping out entire families. But somehow there is a connection between him and Jonathan Parker (Peter Berg), who foresees the crimes in his nightmares and thus helps his adoptive father - Lt. Don Parker (Michael Murphy) - to catch Horace. The murderer is killed in the electric chair. But even after the execution, the horror never ends. The killer has found a way to continue his bloody work. And there are more names on his death list...
