On August 23, we have a movie in the Summer of Craven that is also something for Twin Peaks fans. Wes Craven cast Wendy Robie and Everett McGill for their roles in the film after seeing them as a couple in the famous series. But "The People Under the Stairs" is of course also a movie worth seeing in other respects, inspired by true events.

13-year-old Fool (Brandon Quintin Adams) and his older buddy LeRoy (Ving Rhames) break into a house that is said to contain gold. But it belongs to the psychopathic siblings Dad (Everett McGill) and Mom (Wendy Robie, as they call each other), who prefer to keep adolescent children captive in their basement. Suddenly there seems to be no escape from the fortress...
