On November 8, we have a horror classic from none other than horror director icon John Carpenter. He has given us many masterpieces, but one of his best films is "The Thing" and at the beginning of November you can watch Kurt Russell trying to find out which of his colleagues is possessed by aliens. And unfortunately there's no escape, because the whole thing takes place in Antarctica...

Twelve scientists, including R. J. MacReady, are on a research mission in Antarctica. They discover a destroyed research station and with it a deformed corpse, which they take with them for examination. What the scientists don't know is that an alien is responsible for the destruction. This life form is particularly threatening because it takes over the bodies of other creatures almost unnoticed. When the men take in a frightened dog, they don't think much of it at first. Soon, however, no one can trust anyone else...
