Crossdorf: Lind (moderne trad. Musik aus Deutschland)

Lind 's music is characterized by technical sophistication, wild joy of playing and a touch of melancholy. It is a mixture of self-written titles, classical adaptations and increasingly respectful arrangements of traditional pieces from Thuringia and Saxony. These are often Rundas from the Vogtland, spreading brute joie de vivre and village anarchy. Both the material, the exotic combination of instruments and the sometimes complex structure of the tracks result in a unique sound that never seems academic and has something timeless about it. Despite all the virtuosity, the whole thing is highly entertaining and captivating.

Lind are Tim "Doc Fritz" Liebert (voc, forest zither, harmonica, mandolin, flute), Benni "Cellini" Gerlach (voc, cello) and Karl Helbig (voc, sax, tuba, flute). The musicians have known and appreciated each other for quite some time, as they were an integral part of the "Folk Destille Jena" for several years, with which they won the "Eiserner Eversteiner 2010". They found their first common ground in this world music orchestra. Have fun with Lind and their trad n roll from Germany!
