Crossdorf: Salt House (Schott. Folk)

Salt House have been a fixture on the Scottish-British folk scene for over a decade and have already given a very successful concert here in Osdorf. The band's reputation as thoughtful and innovative performers of both old ballads and contemporary songs has been cemented with acclaimed album releases and extensive touring.

Salt House combine sensitive vocals and instrumental interplay, offering the listener a moment of reflection and connection. New songs that sound like they've always been there, old ballads brought back to life. Poems that are given melodies they have long deserved.

The sound of Salt House is influenced by the landscapes of the Scottish Highlands, Northumberland and Shetland, the respective homelands of band members Ewan MacPherson (vocals, electric and acoustic guitar), Anna Hughes (vocals, violin, viola, tenor guitar) and Jenny Sturgeon (vocals, keys, guitar).

A reply will only be sent if the ticket request cannot be fulfilled. Reduced tickets are available without proof after self-assessment. For the performances in the Bürgerhaus Bornheide there are 20 district tickets at € 5 each. These can be collected from the information desk in the Bürgerhaus while stocks last.
