Crossing Borders

In the organizer's words:

On the occasion of various global crises and driven by the desire to collectively shift the status quo of certain borders, Paulina Będkowska dedicates her new dance production to inter- and intra-societal concepts of border demarcation.

Together with her team, she sets out in search of dividing and connecting elements of borders: Appreciation of the other, perception of border changes, constructive border crossing. Or: If borders are more than just a line, in which space do we move?

The play aims to empower people in their ability to proactively shape boundaries and encourage them to communicate personal boundaries openly and clearly. In a dance piece conceived for the stage, we examine borders as a repetitive process of socio-cultural value attribution and explore the ambivalence inherent in borders.
