When world music meets improvisation
Mulo Francel (saxophonist with the band Quadro Nuevo) has been curating the World Music series in the Silbersaal since 2022. For this evening, he invites outstanding creative personalities from the Polish music scene to take to the stage. You can expect exciting musical encounters between virtuosos whose biographical roots lie in different regions of Europe. They come together in compositions inspired by the lifelines of those involved.
Among them: Izabella Effenberg, who creates blossoming soundscapes on a colorful array of instruments, pianist Krzysztof Kobylinski, who opens the evening with individually atmospheric piano improvisations. And percussionist Patrycia Betley, who presents her very own fascinating rhythms.
In this spontaneous concert encounter, the musicians unleash their creative powers and pass the tonal balls to each other on the playing field of ideas typical of contemporary jazz: Connecting the world with music!
Mulo Francel and double bass player Sven Faller will host the evening with short conversations and stories. They have been developing the Crossing Life Lines concept for several years. The music album of the same name was highly praised in the trade press.
