Cucu Concert: Sandy B (Live)

The Cucurucu Crew is hosting an absolute legend at the Goldener Reiter! Sandy B is one of the formative pioneers of the South African music genre Kwaito, which emerged in the early 1990s. It is characterized by a slow tempo driven by distinctive bass lines, with influences from funk, RnB and hip hop. As a performer, Sandy explores themes of empowerment, resistance and change.

Although he was relatively unknown outside his native South Africa for a long time, he worked restlessly and proactively to expand his reach. Since the release of his latest album Qhum Quaks (2020), he has completed several self-organized and financed European tours.

A well-chosen bunch of local DJs will be playing in the supporting program: L One, Pula, Squisi, Jenny Gender, Diiirrrty and Tzschako will make sure that Wednesday becomes a holiday!
