How does theater get onto the stage, the stage into the exhibition and the exhibition into the book?

Talk with curator Maren Richter, director Elsa Sophie Jach and designer Simone Farner.

Theater is teamwork - on, in front of and behind the stage. The book takes a look behind the scenes of theater making and shows how theater is created, from the initial idea to the premiere. For the exhibition "making THEATRE" at the Deutsches Theatermuseum, the DTM accompanied theater professionals from the Munich Residenztheater during their work on the production of "Romeo and Juliet" in the 2024/2025 season. The result was unique and polyphonic insights into the protected space of everyday theater life.
