Make yourselves comfortable, the electronic living room is opening its doors again - and it's going to be analog, honest and substantial. The electronic living room returns to its roots and celebrates the magic of vinyl.

The curators of the series, Oberhausen DJ icon Klaus Krumme and Carsten Wrede from Tresohr Studios, guarantee musical surprises and production at the highest level as usual.

In addition to the driving beats, Bits & Senses will focus on discourse. As part of a DJ talk, Désirée, Henrik Steffen, Klaus Krumme and Carsten Wrede will discuss the renaissance of analog DJing and the profound challenges for women in a DJ world still dominated by men.

The demand for true parity is on the agenda. While there is often still a preconception in the underground that women first have to prove their technical expertise when DJing, Bits & Senses is sending out a clear signal: It's all about quality and security in the booth - away from tokenism and towards prime-time slots for female artists.

Désirée (Essen): A permanent fixture in the Ruhr underground since 2008. Her vinyl-only sets oscillate between functional machine music and daring techno avant-garde. However, the interaction between DJ, dancers and the music is always at the center of her sets. As an organizer in underground clubs, among other things, she is a local force to be reckoned with, but her vinyl-only sets also routinely make an impact outside the pot.

Henrik Steffen (MOVE, Frankfurt): In the business for over 30 years and infected by the aesthetics of black gold. His sets are colorful, emotional and range from groovy house to driving techno. In addition to small and large events all over Germany, regular radio appearances and as a resident at MOVE in Frankfurt's Tanzhaus West, Henrik knows exactly how to get the crowd dancing through the day.
