Das Ruhrgebiet ist meins! - Das neue Kindermusiktheater für die ganze Familie

In the organizer's words:

Why are there slag heaps, collieries and all these stories that can be felt everywhere? What did mom, dad, grandma and grandpa do in the past - and what does all this have to do with me?

"Das Ruhrgebiet ist meins!" takes children on a journey of discovery through their own homeland - and invites adults to accompany them. The play connects the past, present and future and makes it tangible: children are part of this history. Today. And tomorrow.

Accompany Kira, Sam and Jörg on a musical journey through the Ruhr region - from the roots of mining to a future that we are shaping together. This adventure shows: What really remains are not recordings or click figures, but the moments we experience together.

A Ruhr region is created on stage that sounds, speaks and moves. With live music that is created in the moment, visible instruments and songs that don't need to be explained - but go straight to the heart.

The shared experience is particularly moving: When children ask questions, parents tell stories and grandparents recognize each other. When generations sit next to each other, listen, laugh,
sing - and realize how much they have in common. The specially composed song "Zuhause" ("Home") gets to the heart of the matter: belonging arises where people experience something together.

A visit to the theater, a family experience that people talk about for a long time - on the way home, at the kitchen table, at the next visit from friends, for the next birthday party. "The Ruhr is mine!" is therefore also the perfect gift: for birthdays, for Christmas, for spending time together.

Because children who grow up here will continue to write our stories.
