Das singende, klingende Bäumchen

In the organizer's words:

A princess who desperately wants the singing, tinkling tree. A prince who wants to fulfill her every wish. A dwarf in a magical kingdom who gives the prince the tree.

But the tree only sings when the princess loves the prince! But the princess only loves herself and so the prince is enchanted into a bear. He whisks the snooty princess away to the magic kingdom. There, the princess loses her beauty as the dwarf turns her into a girl who looks as ugly as her heart is.

Can the princess jump over her shadow and change? Will the little tree still sing in the end? The fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm, best known from the DEFA film classic, is full of suspense, magic and poetry.
