Deep Time Walk

Deep Time Forest - Journey into the deep time of the earth

The Deep Time Walk is a special hike through space and time. Over a distance of 4.6 kilometers, every step, every meter corresponds to a million years. Together we walk through 4.6 billion years of Earth's history: from the fiery beginnings of our planet to our ecological present.

Along the way, we will stop at 18 selected stations. At each station, we will encounter an important moment in the history of the earth and life: told in short stories, accompanied by perceptual impulses, small exercises, reflection questions or simple interactive elements. It is not just about knowledge, but about experiencing with the whole body.

The Deep Time Walk is a head-heart-body experience that combines scientific knowledge, movement in the landscape and personal reflection. The long history of the earth opens up new perspectives on being human, on time, change and our role in the web of life.

Especially against the backdrop of climate change, species extinction and ecological crises, the Deep Time Walk invites us to pause for thought: How young is humanity compared to the history of the earth? What traces are we leaving behind and what future are we helping to shape?

The Deep Time Walk lasts around 3 hours. Afterwards, we will take time in a moderated reflection session (approx. 30 minutes) to reflect on what we have experienced, share thoughts and feelings, and put the walk into context together.

Prices: Adults (aged 16 and over): € 35
