Artist Sandra Li transforms the UZUMUMBA kiosk into a democracy kiosk!

In this workshop, you will immerse yourself in the fascinating world of art printing techniques. The focus is on low-threshold printing techniques such as Kitchenlitho and material printing. Kitchenlitho allows you to print with everyday kitchen materials, while material printing encourages experimental work with different surfaces and structures. You will learn practical techniques to create unique, individual prints - ideal for beginners and advanced students who want to expand their artistic possibilities with everyday objects and explore the quiet beauty of the ordinary. The multi-layered work creates an awareness of complexity and diversity - central principles of democratic societies. In this way, the LAB sessions not only strengthen creative skills, but also the ability to actively and reflectively participate in social interaction.

Sandra Li is a multidisciplinary artist and has been part of the WestAteliers in Gallus since October 2024. In her multidisciplinary works, she experiments with various printing techniques, from risography and screen printing to monotype, as well as photography and installations. She explores performative narrative forms in spatial and sound installations. Since 2023, she has been running the cooperation platform tinystud.io, which offers space for a wide range of projects.
