Together with 30 other collectives, we are organizing our big demo for non-commercial spontaneous open-air spaces.

While high culture has been systematically promoted for decades, the Reeperbahn Festival alone receives 9 million euros in funding & "the" club culture now receives 1.3 million euros in funding, an equally important part of our Hamburg culture is not only ignored, but also fought against. Our non-commercial, spontaneous open-air electronic music culture.

No one knows exactly how many open airs take place on a summer weekend and there are reasons for this: The subcultural groups in Hamburg create spaces for their own communities, often away from the public eye. This is how they create their own safe spaces. Self-organized & in solidarity!

Through our alliance and our networking work, we know that several thousand people go to open-air festivals every summer weekend. And just as regularly, many of them are blown up by the HPA or police. So our demand is clear: areas for non-commercial, spontaneous open airs!

But we are not alone in our demand for a city of solidarity. Various movements in Hamburg are asking a common basic question with their demands: Who does our city belong to - and for whom is it made?

Currently, urban policy is capital-driven and characterized by patriarchal structures. The needs of many people are ignored, especially those of marginalized groups. That's why we need a city for everyone! We want a self-determined, just and solidary Hamburg for everyone. A city that is aware that discrimination can operate on several levels simultaneously and takes measures to counteract these intersectional disadvantages. We therefore call on you to take to the streets with us on August 30, together with 30 other collectives!
