What future for Israel and Palestine - and for the German culture of remembrance? In her lecture, Charlotte Wiedemann combines thoughts from her book "Den Schmerz der Anderen begreifen. Holocaust and World Memory" with current observations on Middle East politics. She considers historical obligation and international law together and insists on human equality as an ethical principle and an intellectual challenge.
