Der blaue Tiger (6+)

"Can something I make up exist in reality?" asks nine-year-old Johanka. She draws a blue tiger to save her home. Johanka and her best friend Matyas live in the old botanical garden. The construction company Murks wants to tear it down and build a shopping center in its place. And indeed, a blue tiger appears in the city and causes a stir: Large-scale cordons are erected, construction work comes to a standstill and building investor Frieder Murks is boiling with rage because everyone is only talking about the animal with blue fur. When several dogs suddenly disappear without a trace, the building investor offers a reward for the tiger. Now Johanka and Matyas have their hands full protecting not only the botanical garden, but also the blue tiger.

In this adaptation of the Czech children's film, two children, strengthened by family cohesion, their close friendship and the power of their bright imaginations, stand up for their home and the preservation of a green oasis in the middle of the city.
