In the organizer's words:

They do happen - those days when you feel like a zombie: headaches, stomach aches, we feel sad or empty. Your back hurts and so do your feet. The world just isn't nice - and maybe our own bodies aren't either. And yet: we paint.

In this seminar, we will explore painting and drawing techniques together, which are possible even when nothing seems to work. When the sofa is calling and thoughts are spinning, colors, lines and shapes can distract us from pain or grief - and perhaps even make us proud that we have become active.

It's about mindful experimentation as well as wild mashing, courageous failure and little surprises on paper. Perhaps an abstract painting will emerge - perhaps the paper will end up with a hole in it.

The plan for the seminar is:

Giving excuses and fear the middle finger: Tricks to get into artistic work. Boundaries can help (but only when painting, not in Europe): How we can limit ourselves to get around the fear of the blank page, the wrong color or the lack of inspiration.

Just playing with color: Painting and relaxing.

"I would like to paint a beautiful picture": Techniques with which we (almost) always paint something that triggers admiration afterwards - it has to be done sometimes ...

The materials we use are paper, gouache, colored pencils, oil pastels and markers.

This offer is part of our Finding Balance series.
