Der Norden Singt – Das Lübecker Weihnachtssingen 2025

The North sings - The Lübeck Christmas Singing 2025

It is perhaps the most atmospheric thing you can do at Christmas time: Singing Christmas carols together under the direction of choirmaster Niels Schröder. This year, Niels and his 9-piece live band will be coming to the MUK twice - on the 2nd Sunday in Advent (07.12.2025) and the following Monday (08.12.2025) to sing traditional and modern German and English Christmas carols with all visitors and get in the mood for the festive season together.

For nine years now, the open singing event "Der Norden Singt" has been bringing together all singing enthusiasts from Lübeck in the heart of the Hanseatic city to make music together. The evenings are also the biggest concerts that Lübeck gives itself: The voices of all visitors merge into a large, impressive choral sound, carried by the sound of a professional live band.

Anyone can take part - regardless of whether you have already been part of the regular singings in the Kolosseum or whether you were previously more of an "under-the-shower singer". There are no prerequisites. The lyrics will be projected onto a large screen for you to read along.
