In the organizer's words:

It's Christmas time. The market square of a small town is festively decorated. The people are in good spirits and the children are looking forward to seeing Santa Claus. Love has blossomed between poor Pierrot and shy Columbine, but, like Rapunzel in the fairy tale, she is locked up by her uncle Pantalon. Thanks to the snowman who comes to life, Columbine and Pierrot escape from the vindictive Pantalon. The purely pantomimic portrayal of the three protagonists creates a particularly intense musical experience.
