Der Weihrauchwastl

In the organizer's words:

Anni doesn't think much of her husband Bartl's abilities. To impress her, he gives in to the whispers of the cunning estate agent Nagel, who wants to use him as a useful idiot for his own purposes, and applies to be a candidate for mayor.

However, Bartl is not a good speaker. Nagel therefore hires the Weihrauchwastl - sacristan, writer, genius and scrappy existence all in one

Weihrauchwastl - a sacristan, writer, genius and scrappy existence all rolled into one - to write an effective speech for Bartl's election rally. Bartl's sister Betty, however, is skeptical. When she finds out what Nagel is really up to, she has only one thing on her mind: to prevent her brother's candidacy at all costs with Wastl's help. Wastl is in a quandary, but ultimately cannot allow what Nagel has in store for Bartl and the community. So he slips Bartl a second speech at short notice before the decisive meeting and makes sure that he delivers it.

At first it looks as if Bartl has actually been nominated and Nagel's plans have worked out. But then it turns out that the "alternative" speech has worked in Betty and Wastl's favor...
