- Benefit for the Pelmke - Admission: 4:00 pm
"Deux Couleurs" - the popular saxophone quartet from the Bergische Musikschule Wuppertal - is coming to Hagen! Wolfgang Schmidtke (soprano saxophone), Gerd Stratmann (alto saxophone), Steffie Heine (tenor saxophone) and Daniel Mertmann (baritone saxophone) play a wide cross-section of wind chamber music. Arrangements of music by J. S. Bach stand alongside pieces from Kurt Weill's Dreigroschenmusik and, of course, there are also jazz arrangements. In other words, music that everyone immediately associates with the saxophone will be played alongside unexpected discoveries.
Things get cozy at 4 pm with light refreshments. All proceeds will go to the Pelmke Cultural Center.
