For anyone looking for really good reading tips: the most beautiful, best and most interesting children's and young adult books of 2025 will be selected from the new publications by children's and young adult book experts Roswitha Budeus-Budde, Marlene Zöhrer and, for the first time this year, Silke Almendinger, and presented in a competent and entertaining way. A great list of recommendations will also be published for the event, grouped by genre, subject and age group - a perfect guide and lots of gift ideas for the Christmas gift table. And anyone who wants to can browse through all the selected books in the book exhibition.

Silke Almendinger completed her training as a bookseller with Ulrike and Ole Schultheis at Bücherjolle in Starnberg after studying humanities, completing a traineeship at Herder Verlag and working as a freelance editor. She then worked for over ten years in the general assortment at the Isartal bookstore before taking over the children's book department at the Lehmkuhl bookstore in January 2025.

Dr. Roswitha Budeus-Budde is a reviewer and consultant for children's and young adult literature and works for the Süddeutsche Zeitung.

Dr. Marlene Zöhrer is a reviewer and consultant in the field of children's and young adult literature, as well as a university professor for children's and young adult literature and German didactics at the Styrian University of Teacher Education and head of the KiJuLit Center.
