The "International of Nationalists", which stretches from Moscow via Riyadh, Tehran and Istanbul to Washington, combines political chauvinism with reactionary religious values. In the US, the "holy culture warriors" are well on their way to establishing a new form of theocracy thanks to the support of "tech bros" such as Peter Thiel and Elon Musk. Their enemy is not least "secular Europe". In his lecture, Michael Schmidt-Salomon shows what characterizes this reactionary movement and what possibilities there are to stop the destruction of open society.

Dr. phil. Dr. h.c. Michael Schmidt-Salomon, born in 1967, is a philosopher and co-founder and chairman of the Giordano Bruno Foundation. His numerous publications include the books "Beyond Good and Evil", "No Power to the Stupid", "The Limits of Tolerance" and, most recently, "The Evolution of Thought: The Modern Worldview - and Who We Owe It to".
