The prince's son Edwin Lippert-Weylersheim wants to marry the famous chansonnier Sylva Varescu. Unheard of for his aristocratic parents. They pull out all the stops to prevent the marriage. And then the couple make life difficult for themselves with their jealousy and games. How can this possibly go well? Fortunately, operetta always has an answer ... With his Csárdásfürstin , which premiered in 1915, Kálmán rose to become one of the most popular operetta composers. He masterfully mixes the free spirit of Hungarian folklore with the bliss of the Viennese waltz to create a work full of comedy and catchy tunes.
