The New Year's Eve classic as a play for "Schöler", crammers and blueberry wine fans. This evening is a song of praise to the school, "but it's possible that the school won't notice".

"The best thing in life," sums up the group of men around the young writer Dr. Pfeiffer, "was my time at grammar school". But Pfeiffer had private lessons, never went to school, knew neither the crammers nor the pranks that were played on them, was "not a person at all, so to speak". And that's when the crazy idea was born: the good old days should be resurrected and he should catch up on what he had missed.

As a "whistler with three f's", he becomes Professor Crey's "Schöler" in Babenberg's upper school, learns from Bömmel what the "Dampfmaschin'" is all about and, together with his pubescent schoolmates, devises all kinds of mischief to fool the teaching staff.
