The TV series Black Mirror raises the question of how "reality" can be understood in the digital age in various, partly futuristic, partly dystopian scenarios. This philosophical question extends far into everyday life, even into our most intimate spheres. Using a number of specific examples taken from different episodes of the series, Alexander Schnell, Professor of Theoretical Philosophy and Phenomenology at the University of Wuppertal, traces how latent spatialities assert themselves in the entanglement of reality and virtuality.
