Die Katze Eleonore

In the organizer's words:

Actually, she always knew it intuitively: Eleonore is in her early 40s when she realizes that she is actually a cat. As the real estate agent has inherited her estate, is professionally successful and financially independent, there are no obstacles in her way and the plan is quickly made: She starts hunting at night, wears fur, adopts animal sleep phases and minimizes contact with fellow humans. Little by little, she transforms into an animal.

Caren Jeß' monologue describes this metamorphosis in a witty, enigmatic, but above all astonishingly comprehensible way, telling of a voluntary retreat, an exit from society, from family and professional relationships, from attributions and expectations, telling of radical self-determination in all its contradictions.
