In the organizer's words:

Franz Schubert's cycle "Die schöne Müllerin" tells the story of a young person who sets off because he senses that life only begins when you set off. What he is looking for remains uncertain - perhaps love, meaning or a place in the world. Almost two hundred years after it was written, this work sounds surprisingly topical. Even today, many people are searching for a sense of belonging, a home, something stable.

"Die schöne Müllerin - unterwegs" picks up on this parallel - as a journey through places, times and moods.
Ukrainian tenor Taras Semenov and Russian pianist Sofia Semenina create an evening that allows Schubert to be experienced in a new way: intimate, clear, honest. The audience encounters not only a story from the 19th century, but also itself - in all the searching, doubting and hoping that accompanies every new departure.
