Finissage on September 13, 11 a.m.: Christoph Dohse talks about book design, followed by an aperitif

The exhibition shows the award-winning "most beautiful German books 2024". In the competition, two juries of experts select the 25 most beautiful books of the year in a multi-stage process. The books are exemplary in terms of design, concept and workmanship and demonstrate a wide range of creative and manufacturing possibilities. The award-winning books set an example and highlight trends in German book production. There are five winners in each of the five categories "General literature", "Academic books, specialist books, school books and textbooks", "Guidebooks, non-fiction books", "Art books, photo books, exhibition catalogs" and "Children's books, books for young people". The selection also takes into account the quieter, well-typographed reading book.
