A crowded nightclub. Shrill beats echo through the foggy room, rich synthesizer sounds float through the club. Suddenly, a mournful trumpet sound fills the dance floor like a ghost: Welcome to the world of DIE SELEKTION.

Heavy-hearted but hopeful trumpet melodies, German lyrics that make you question your past and future again, synthesizer sounds in the grand tradition of heroes like Depeche Mode, DAF or Nitzer Ebb, combined with hard-hitting drum machines - this forms the basis for DIE SELEKTION's self-proclaimed prosecco wave world.

After thirteen years together, three studio albums, a series of singles, EPs and dozens of live shows in over 23 countries worldwide, band members Luca Gillian, Hannes Rief, Samuel Savenberg and Max Rieger have turned DIE SELEKTION into an influential band that manages to bring both goth kids and techno fans to the same dance floor with a unique blend of synth-pop and electronic body music.

A Black Rainbow is the music project of Wilson Gonzalez Ochsenknecht.

A Black Rainbow stands for the outsider, who at first glance does not fit into the picture, but is nevertheless a soulful, profound and multi-layered personality. A rainbow whose colors have not yet been fathomed. Dark basses meet harmonious melodies, accompanied by strict beats and contrasting arrangements, plus an incomparable performance. A mixture of rock'n'roll, wave, electro and techno. As multi-layered as a rainbow, but non-conformist and rebellious. Like the black sheep of the family.
