Two-day comic workshop with Birgit Weyhe

Can objects tell stories? Do they have a memory? In this two-day workshop, we will use drawing and narrative techniques to explore the intervention Memory is .... Whether as individuals or as a society, remembering is crucial to our identity and creates a sense of social belonging. But this requires points of reference. How can concrete things tell a story? What is told and how can we remember it?

With creative exercises, drawings and texts, we approach things from Memory is .... In this way, we create new visual and narrative memories and also explore gaps and contradictions in memory. No previous knowledge of drawing is necessary, but an interest in getting involved is.

The Hamburg-based comic artist Birgit Weyhe has received numerous awards for her work and her books have been translated into several languages. She is one of the initiators of the Initiative Zeichner*innen gegen Antisemitismus, Hass und Rassismus.
