In a world of feather dusters and brooms, where every day seems to be the same, three cleaners discover something extraordinary. Hidden deep within their familiar cleaning environment is a door they have never noticed before. With a mixture of curiosity and courage, they open the door to the unknown. What follows is a journey into a world beyond the cleaners' wildest imagination. Everyday objects are transformed into living companions and wondrous creatures that light their way. Between shimmering lakes of washing-up liquid and enchanted forests of broomsticks, they discover that hero:innentum sometimes begins with a simple wipe. But as they delve deeper into this new realm, they encounter not only wonders, but also challenges that test their friendship and courage. Can these unlikely heroes find the strength to save not only themselves, but also the enchanted world they have inadvertently entered?

Gregory Caers is a master of theatrical poetry. Whether he is staging Amsterdam's 750th anniversary celebrations with over 100 dancers or working for the very youngest, he always looks at everyday life with a fresh, new perspective and celebrates humor and humanity. Together with Gerbrand Bos, he has created an ode to the imagination with "The Door".
