Bastian Balthasar Bux is bullied at school and hides in a second-hand bookshop, where he discovers a mysterious book: "The Neverending Story". As he reads it, he delves deep into the magical world of Phantásia, which is threatened by the destructive "Nothing". Only a human child could bring salvation, even for the seriously ill Childlike Empress, he learns. Accompanied by Atréju and the lucky dragon Falkor, Bastian ventures into the realm of will-o'-the-wisps, rock-biters and racing snails and discovers that he himself has the power to change everything - not only in Phantásia, but also in his own life. Michael Ende's "Neverending Story" tells a moving adventure about the power of imagination, the courage to change and the way out of loneliness. After "Emil and the Detectives", director Nina Mattenklotz, together with her team, the acting ensemble and musician Romy Camerun, is once again developing a generational classic for the big stage.
