Once a month, the Peterknecht bookshop and Weinmanufaktur Erfurt invite you to an intellectual and literary evening on the Petersberg. The Thuringian Vinarium is located in the historic gun emplacement on the Petersberg, which provides the perfect and atmospheric setting for these special readings.

In September 2026, Berlin author Torsten Harmsen will be a guest at the Vinarium. In his new book "Broiler, Wimpel, Westpaket", he traces the objects from his childhood and youth: from cassette recorders and carpet beaters to slide rules and type cases to jeans, records and his first cigarette. Harmsen's humorous observations show how much things can shape us - and they encourage us to reflect on the changeability of the world.
