Die weiteren Aussichten (Jever Live Konzert)

Anyone who has ever been to a party in a shared flat knows what Die weiteren Aussichten sound like: People dance to 2000s indie rock in the living room, tears flow during deep conversations in the kitchen, someone tells jokes and in the end you go home with new friendships and a pinch of melancholy.

The lyrics are so direct and honest that sometimes you wish they would lie a little more. Isolation, loss and the absurdity of life meet everyday observations that get under your skin. In 2024, the project was awarded the prize for Best Lyrics at the local heroes national final and was accepted into the renowned Popkurs Hamburg and the top pop rlp Masterclass support program.

Musically, Die weiteren Aussichten moves between German indie greats such as Kettcar and Thees Uhlmann and international insider tips such as Frightened Rabbit or We Were Promised Jetpacks. It's as if German sprechgesang meets Scottish post-punk: melancholic but never melancholy, honest but never self-pitying.
