On the way into the home, everyone usually has to enter the hallway first. An intermediate room, sometimes invitingly tidy, sometimes just a place to store things. In any case, it is a passageway that reveals something about the personality of its occupants and from which doors open.
The Stuttgart band Diele have made themselves at home in this corridor. Their debut album "Hüte ziehen, Hüte nehmen" takes a reflective look at the teenage bedroom, the everyday kitchen and squints out of the window with narrowed eyes at what might be to come.
Andre Laschet, Matthias Fugel, Herbert Häfele and Christoph Mack spent over three years working on melodies, guitar effects, synth sounds, rhythms and accompaniment patterns in the rehearsal room before twelve pieces of music were recorded in the home studio, produced and shaped by sound genius Ralv Milberg into what was released in October 2023: A longplayer that never fully leaves the familiar realms of German-language indie pop, while at the same time opening doors to other spheres in keeping with its name, asking questions and arousing curiosity.
Since their debut album, a further handful of songs have been written, which will be heard on stage for the first time that evening.
