Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's famous opera in a handy format - "Don Giovanni" for your pocket! One year after the Prague premiere of the opera, Johann Nepomuk Wendt, Viennese oboist and arranger, created a brilliant short version for flute, violin, viola and cello. In addition to the overture, this music-historical rarity includes the most important ensemble scenes and arias in a chamber music arrangement and was intended for performance in living rooms, parlors and salons. Wendt's transcription made a significant contribution to making the music from "Don Giovanni" accessible to a wide audience. Livened up with interludes by Gottfried Franz Kasparek, this arrangement offers a new perspective on the dramatic story of the unscrupulous seducer Don Giovanni.
