ou can listen to two very different duos on September 7:

The artists Elif Yıldırım (vocals) and Ulaş Özağaç (Bağlama) bring the multifaceted musical heritage of Anatolia into a contemporary, intercultural context. In this concert, songs from different population groups from Anatolia come together - with themes such as migration, separation, love and hope that are universal and timeless. Each piece is more than just music - it is an expression of cultural dialog, collective memory and shared humanity. Turkish, Kurdish, Armenian and Anatolian sound traditions merge into a musical contribution that directly takes up the idea of Zusammen:Klang - creating sound together.

After a short break, the show continues at 8.15 pm with the duo Angelika Niescier & Mariá Portugal (saxophone & drums), two musicians who are among the world's top improvisers. They break musical boundaries with pure energy and spontaneity. Their music is a vibrant interplay of composition and improvisation - raw, powerful, precise and full of surprises.

Mariá Portugal is already well known in Moers: in 2020 she was Improviser in Residence at the Moers Festival.
