Village punks based on the book by Rocko Schamoni
Anything can happen in life, especially nothing
Schmalenstedt, a fictional Baltic Sea village, one summer in the early 1980s: punk rock has reached the Schleswig-Holstein province. Punk rock is an international youth movement in whose bosom the eponymous village punks come together. They dream of freedom and community and are against everything and everyone on principle. Driven by youthful boredom and canned beer, they form a punk band. Although their musical skills are limited, they are not discouraged by this.
discouraged by this. As a fateful community of voluntary outcasts, they try to find their way - always hoping that there is more out there for them; more opportunities, more intensity, more life. With a lot of humor, at the same time crude and poetic, it tells of the terrible and the beautiful sides of growing up.
