Can you seriously do a doctorate in pop music? Yes! And what do you do with it? Comedy and cabaret.
Dr. Pop is a doctor of music. He practices on the radio, on TV, on the net and on stage. He treats with music samples and curious but completely true music facts. Did you know that termites eat through wood twice as fast when they listen to heavy metal? Or that there is the Barry White effect in evolutionary theory? The deeper the male's voice, the greater the chances of mating. This applies to both humans and koala bears.

Dr. Pop's live show features music that can save a party, a relationship or the motivation to do sport. Whether pop, rock, classical, pop, jazz, hip-hop or rap, Dr. Pop fires off familiar and unfamiliar samples from the history of music. And by the end of the show, everyone in the audience knows how to enrich their own lives a little more with music.

In "Hitverdächtig - Der musikalische Jahresrückblick", Dr. Pop dissects the musical highs and lows of the year. What music shaped the year? Why did a concert by Beyoncé increase inflation in Sweden? What new music studies came out that are helpful in everyday life? And why is a Christmas song still the best-selling song in music history? Dr. Pop has the right hit for every question!
