In this 3-day intensive course, you will learn how to create your first hand-thrown vessel from a piece of clay. You will be shown step-by-step how to prepare the clay, center it on the wheel, turn it, twist it and create your shapes.

What you will learn:

• Preparing clay: Beating, kneading, understanding

• Turning on the potter's wheel - right from the start

• Turning, refining shapes

• Surface design with engobes & structures

• Individual guidance & plenty of time to practice

With around 22 hours of lessons, you have significantly more time than in a traditional weekend course - perfect for deepening techniques, trying out new things and getting into the creative flow.

At the end, you will choose your five favorite pieces, which will be fired and later completed at the glazing session.
