On Saturday, August 30, 2025, a special demonstration will start in Aachen: "Drum and Bass on the Bike - Rolling Demo for the Mobility Turnaround". The meeting point is at 1 p.m. at Aachen Central Station, from where the approximately eight-kilometer route leads right through the city. The action is part of the "Aachen, keep going!" campaign and is taking place in the run-up to the upcoming local elections.
British DJ Dom Whiting, internationally renowned for his drum and bass sets on his bike, will also be taking part. After performances in cities such as Berlin, Barcelona and London, he is now back in NRW after a performance in Dortmund in 2023 - this time with a clear political cause: more space for climate-friendly mobility in Aachen.
The demo relies on music, movement and a good atmosphere to send a strong signal for a sustainable transport policy. Whether better cycle paths, reliable public transport or more urban greenery - the mobility transition affects us all.
