This time, the supporting program of the Duisburg Film Week will also focus on music in documentary film. During the festival, you can experience the NOTHING HEAVY installation by GRAW BÖCKLER both acoustically and visually.
The documentary-style music videos by Ursula Böckler and Georg Graw are reminiscent of journeys. They film scenes of publicity, then again brief moments of private pause, of transit. Sometimes en passant, sometimes stylized, always with an attention to the raw, the fleeting, the sometimes symptomatic in the social fabric: A commercial shoot, a stooped man, a caged animal, a clumsy kiss. The spontaneity of public space is inscribed in the images, echoed in the music to which they relate.
The exhibition of her works at the film week explores visual narratives from 25 years of artistic practice.
