Young people select historical films that play around the festival motto. In one, Volko Kamensky researches traffic circle center islands:

Gliding along their orbit, he pays homage to their functional aesthetics to romantic music, enquiring by telephone with experts about their history, their philosophy. We learn that where the circle provides order, where movement does not stop, the eye and mind finally find peace and stability. And: roads connect. In Rainer Komers' work, too, traffic routes are both an occasion and a means of exercising perception. Like a conveyor belt, the federal highway connects 224 stations along its route. NRWCore: We see chimneys, campers, people in the rhythm of machines, hear the clinking of metal and glass. An almost restless region as a measuring instrument for our attention.
