New sonorities with old formal principles. The US musicians Benjamin Sung, violin, and David Kalhous, piano, (both professors at Florida State University) and the Munich composer Henrik Ajax explore new possibilities for this classical instrumentation - in the form of the multi-movement work "Fantasy Dances". The program also includes a world premiere by the Munich-based Ukrainian composer Kseniia Mykhailova. Works by Franz Schubert, Györgi Kurtag and Rebecca Saunders complete the program.
