Certainly, the artist has not constantly thought of disasters and catastrophes of our technical civilization when he creates spatial installations and architectural implants, but the coldness of his objects, the functional nature of the material used and the overall technicality of his installations suggest that he wants to hand us over to an aesthetic that belongs precisely to the cool, calculating style of contemporary realities of life: Woll stages a concrete realism from the cockpit of borderline experiences: Art is created in the mind and in space - for our time!

Art, architecture, technology - brothers and sisters in spirit, hybrid siblings in space. In Woll's installations, beauty is a question of form and encounter - material with place, form with time - encounters between space, installation (installation and material) in transience. Form is created with and against space, for some time now also with digital means, which, for example, open up an additional dimension in the form of film. Somehow the whole thing becomes metaphysical after all: art in 5th gear.

Thomas Woll takes us to the breaking edges and breaking points of a technical civilization and its global culture, which is currently in the process of beaming itself into a new dimension (let's call it post-post-modernity) via AI or dying in it.
