Fake news in the feed, deepfakes on TikTok, AI images that seem more real than reality. What is actually still true - and who decides? Disinformation is no longer a marginal phenomenon. It influences elections, political debates and trust in the media - even in Europe.

At the panel discussion "Really true now? - Why disinformation threatens us in Europe" will focus on precisely this: How do disinformation campaigns work? What role do social media, algorithms and AI play? What responsibility do politicians, platforms and society bear? And how can we protect freedom of expression without normalizing targeted manipulation?
